Formed in 1996 the Partnership is a coalition of groups and individuals working to protect the high quality natural resources of the Kishwaukee River Watershed.  

Mission: to raise awareness of the ecological, recreational, cultural and economic importance of the Kishwaukee River and to coordinate and encourage efforts to foster stewardship, protect and enhance its natural resources. 

Membership:  open to all who support the mission & goals of the group.

The Kishwaukee River corridor provides great outdoor recreation opportunities for ,hiking, fishing, bird watching and boating.

The River is home to a diversity of aquatic life, including the mussels pictured here.  During summer of 2009 a survey by IDNR, Park District and Forest Preserve Staff Collected 568 individuals representing 19 species 

Piscasaw Creek is another high quality tributary as evidenced by Blanding’s Turtles found along the Creek
